Ironcoppers has been set up to encourage
police officers, staff and specials from all over the UK to compete in any kind of sporting event and raise
money for Cancer Research UK. If you work for a police force and are either taking part or want to take part in events then please
get in touch. It does not matter what event you are doing or how fit you are. No event is too big or small! It's all for

2012 was a fantastic start for the team who raised £7177.70 for the Cancer Research UK. We are now into our second year and with new faces joining all the time I am certain that we can beat the first years great efforts. We will soon be sporting our very own kit so look out for us competing in our cycle jerseys and running vests.
As police officers we are aware of the dangers of life as ours are put at risk day in day out protecting the public. However, one area that is often overlooked is that Cancer is an even bigger danger to us and will affect 1 in 3 people in the UK. That is why Cancer Research UK needs every penny you can spare so that vital research is carried out to continue the advanced treatments which will hopefully one day rid us of this dreadful illness.
